This is an actual answer of a student in New York. Students there

were given a "partial credit" for totally wrong, stupid answers.

Afer reading and listening to so many people complain about how

the School System is "dumbing down" the school children, it finally

dawns upon the active mind that this is no "dumbing down," but

the practice of adjusting the educational applications to fit the ability

of the present and future students' to learn this lesson. Obviously,

the present day students' abilities and intellectual capacity to learn

are much lower then they were a few decades ago. Why teach a really

"higher math" to students whose mental capabilities can not, and will

never, learn it? If dumber students are arriving, teach them what they

are capable of learning. Nothing more, nothing higher.
